If this is your first SuiteWorld, a little preparation goes a long way. We wrote this mainly for health and life sciences companies, since that's who we work with, but most of it applies to any industry.
Plan your schedule before you land
SuiteWorld runs October 25 to 28 in Las Vegas, and there are a lot of sessions to choose from. Topics that matter most to regulated industries, like compliance, quality management and multi-entity operations, sit alongside a large number of finance and CRM sessions. Search the agenda for your own keywords ahead of time and build a rough plan. You can adjust once you're there.
Leave time for conversations
The sessions are useful, and so are the moments between them: talking with someone from a company your size, catching a NetSuite product manager after their talk, or working through a question with a partner who knows your industry. Keep some open space on your calendar so you can follow a good conversation when it comes up.
Bring your real questions
Whether you're evaluating NetSuite, in the middle of an implementation, or working on something that needs attention, come with specifics. "We're working on our quality system integration" leads to a much more useful conversation than a general introduction. Most people at SuiteWorld, us included, like digging into a real problem, and you can get a lot done in ten minutes that way.
Pace yourself
Convention centers are big and the days are long. Some of the best conversations happen late in the day, so save some energy for them. Comfortable shoes help too.
Follow up within a few days
You'll meet a lot of people. A short email that mentions the specific thing you talked about helps them remember you and keeps the conversation going.
