What is NetSuite Next?

NetSuite Next is the redesigned NetSuite experience. The data, records, and workflows underneath stay the same. The screens, navigation, and layout are what change.

The bigger shift is Ask Oracle, an AI assistant built into NetSuite. Instead of clicking through menus or building a saved search, a user types a question in plain language and gets an answer from NetSuite data.

For a regulated company, the new interface is mostly a training exercise. Ask Oracle deserves more thought, because it changes how people pull data and, in some cases, how configuration gets drafted.

Answer how-to questions

Ask how something works in NetSuite, like setting up a memorized transaction for a recurring journal entry, and read the explanation in the Ask Oracle panel.

Analyze NetSuite data

Ask for the highest-dollar open purchase orders that haven't been received, then narrow the list to orders more than 31 days old. There's no saved search to build first.

Work from saved searches

Point Ask Oracle at a saved search you already run and ask it to group the results by item and total the quantities.

Review documents

Upload a document, such as NetSuite release notes, and ask what has changed for specific roles instead of searching through the entire document.

Draft workflows

Describe the record type, trigger, condition, and action, and Ask Oracle drafts the workflow. Each generated workflow can be reviewed and refined before it's released.
